A Health Clinic in Birendranager, Nepal

Sunshine Heroes partnered with People's Foundation Nepal to provide a health clinic near Chitwan in Birendranager, Nepal. The 542,000 people living in this rural area previously had to travel 1 to 2 days to reach health care. As a result, one in every six children in Birendranager died before their first birthday. With this new health clinic in place, the hope is that infant mortality will decrease by 60 percent. The funds donated by the Sunshine Heroes Foundation purchased medical equipment including an x-ray machine and other lab equipment. It also helps provide maternal care, pediatric care and basic educational training to the local people about how to better care for their health needs. Within this clinic, it is estimated that more than 15,000 people, each year,  will receive healthcare that will allow them to live a happier, healthier life.
